  1. Great, now if we think proactivley, where might he need next set, have Chris think about that and we can all brainstorm about how to get em there

    1. Just tell me what you guys think is best for a new set of tire and I’ll communicate it to Chris. It would be nice for him not to have to worry about it, but since we don’t know the other check points (besides Montana H-D), it would be hard to plan ahead. I am leaving that up to the experts…

  2. I posted part number for rear tire earlier

    Frt Tire 120/70ZR18
    RR Tire 180/55ZR17

OEM Manufacturer is Dunlop, my guess is size is important Manuf secondary. Any port in a storm if you will.

The GM for Montana HD is Chris Johnson and he is doing Challenge as we received his bike and sent him down the road, really good guy.

I’ll keep checking in over weekend

  3. Yeah, he may have to worry about this part being available in Canada. Might need to plan ahead. I no longer work for a Harley Dealership, but sounds like some on here have access to parts locator. I don’t recall but I dont think we were linked to Canada, so you might have to look at another option. ….Keep the pace Chris, We are all rooting for you!!

  4. i agree with revnobody….he is going to have to enter canada soon and from the tire life he got out of the 1st rear tire, he will never make it on the new tire to homer. not to mention the road conditions deteriorate as they go up north

  5. My husband Gary is riding with Chris so he told me to say hi, said the tracker is not working and has no cell phone service where they are at.

    1. Hello Vickie! Chris called me this morning using Gary’s cellphone. Thank God for Verizon! Hope you are well.

  6. Knowing Chris he probably has already set up a contingency plan, But just in case, I just got off the phone with Montana Harley (the one in Missoula-there is one in Kalispell also) and they have front and rear tire in stock. It may be too early for a tire, but with Canada coming up, it may be time to buy a set and strap them on the bike.

    Front part number is 43229-08
    Rear part number is 43231-08

  7. i know the rider we have in the race is planning of fresh rubber in montana or the next stop (if it’s in the US). i hear the road conditions will chew up the tires in canada and alaska

  8. Yeah Canadian roads that they will be traveling on are going to be covered in loose gravel. Its a bit hairy out that way. Hopefully Chris will get some fresh skins in MT. I hope all the riders caution these roads. It’s a bit of a different journey!

  9. We will also provide information on a location in canada, we sell to a few dealers there, i truly wish all of these guys the best of luck.
To the wife of chris when he returns please mention my post to him they were great days and memories. Pete Hames was riding for us and Chris was riding for Ron Wood, they had some great battles i think we also beat him a couple of times, but in the usual Chris fashion he was always very tough. To the folks that aren’t familiar to his racing history, he is one of the greatest in history. He also holds the world land speed record on a 2 wheeled streamliner set at bonnivlle 368 MPH. Lastly well wishes to all the competetors. Tim Call 800 9569409 if we can help.
