    1. Well, I don’t know why it is not tracking anymore. I’ve been trying to reach him since he ran out of gas, but I am only getting his voicemail. I don’t think there is good coverage where he is now. I don’t know if anyone is bringing him gas. I know he was riding with Gary earlier, so hopefuly he is not alone.

    2. 8:30 pm EST (Billings MT). Thank you Gary for bringing Chris some gas! After 2 hours on the side of the road, they are now back on the road pushing through the next 340 miles to get to Missoula MT. SPOT has been reset and working!

  1. lol !!! So much for taking his time and interviewing people, now he’s on the side road hitchhiking!! 😛 (just kidding!)

Hopefully he’ll get gas soon enough 🙂 Tell him to call HERO from GA, they’ll bring one gallon for free 😀

In the meantime, he might get a chance to reset that freaking spot tracking that works whenever it wants. It’s nice to be able to follow him along the way.

Cheers Chris and stop fooling around! 😉

    1. just realized that he just sent an OK message, it is still not tracking. They’ve got to make a user friendly tracking device for tired motorcycle riders. To track, the user has to reset the device every 24 hours, hold the ok button more than 5 sec. but too long, the red light comes on indicating a malfunction, less than 5 sec. only gets an ok message.

  2. That’s not easy to remember when your pumped and wanting to ride! It’s not easy to remember even if your not.

  3. Umm… I don’t know anywhere in the US with a speed limit of 80 mph….. If you don’t want to get disqualified, you probably shouldn’t post stuff like that.

  4. Is Gary using a Spot also? Just wondering, that way those of us that are following might be able to keep up with them! Thanks for the great ride and all the feedback about his trip.

    1. Unfortunatly, Gary does not have a SPOT. I know it is fustrating not knowing where they are. Thanks for following.

  5. Am happy to follow him. I think you said before that he is writing an article about the ride?! Hope he does and that I can find it in print. Would also like to have the route when he is done so that I can put it on a map better.

    1. Terry, Chris will write a story about the whole H-H experience. If this is your correct email address, we’ll keep you updated.

  6. Made the trip from daytona to fairbank ak recently on my harley hertiage. Believe me you must have extra gas with you going through canada. I needed spare gas 4 times or I would have been on the side of the road. A lot of the canadian gas stations were closed or out of gas.
